A collaborative artwork. My dark room design immersed the visitor into my imitation of a breathing lung, where the individual contributed to a collaborative art piece based on a simplified version of the lung’s fractal pattern. At the end of the exhibition, the fractal pattern had been drawn so often by an array of people that we had collaboratively drawn a full-sized lung. I advocate for such interdisciplinary thinking and powerful collaboration to create final results that are beyond the reach of an individual, similar to the emergent property of a fractal pattern.
